Cowlitz County Fair

We went to the fair yesterday... the weather was perfect after having so many hot days in a row. We looked at all the animals and had lunch. Zoe's favorite animal was the bunnies. Presley liked the chickens... he was so funny laughing at them. It was a fun morning.

Water Fun!

The kids have been having fun in the sun playing in their pool and sprinkler. Zoe has a nice golden tan which mommy is a little jealous of. Since all I do is burn then go back to pale white. I have noticed Presley is more like his mommy ... poor guy. It's hot so back in the pool we go!

Steve Saved a Baby Bunny

Steve saved a baby bunny from a neighbor cat. We kept it over night fed it and made sure his cuts stopped bleeding. He was doing just fine so we had to let him go.
It was so cute... it was hard saying goodbye!

Sweat Test

Presley went to OHSU for a sweat test that tested for cystic fibrosis on Tuesday. He was so brave. The results came back negative. Yahoo! Thanks for everyones thoughts and prayers. We are headed to Interstate Kaiser in Portland tomorrow to meet with a gentic specialist.

4th of July Weekend

We headed camping on the 3rd... kids excited and the truck packed full of stuff (more stuff then we needed for sure). We got to Coyotee Rock and set up camp we were the first ones there. Later John and Nikki and their kids showed up as well as the Mortenson family. We had dinner and ate yummy s'mores... Pres wasn't too sure about the stickiness. Our little guy wasn't feeling well during the day with a running nose and stuff. He woke up in the middle of the night screaming like he was in pain. (I just wanted to take him home right then.) So on Friday I did just that. We stayed and visited for a bit but I took the kids home early. (Steve stayed because he needed to help his mom load the u-haul and drive it home.) This is not the way it was suppose to turn out so it's a bummer but we learned that it is just too hard on our kids especially when they aren't feeling good.

On Sat (the 4th) the kids and my mom and I went to the lake to walk around. We ate lunch there, watched the cardboard boat races, and went in the petting zoo. When Steve got home I (yes I) BBQ'd burgers put the kids to bed and watched like 10 fireworks shows just from the view in our yard. We could even see the lake fireworks. It was an interesting 4th, but it turned out to be just right... with the ones I love!!
