Play Dates!!!

On Monday, I met up with Iris Wellcome and her beautiful girls... Justice, Pria, and Mercy. We walked to the park and played. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids play and to visit too! The kids favorite toy at the park was the water fountain... go figure.
Afterwards Zoe, Pres, and I went up to my friend Joni's house for a playdate with her kids; Brianne and Caiden. My friend Brittany that I hadn't visited with since junior high was there to with her to kids also. The kids dressed up as princess and ran around inside and out. Lets just say the kids were exhausted.

Today the kids and I met Erica and her son Jack at the Portland Children's Museum. We had never been there before. It was fun. I recommend it for little ones.

Here are some pictures from our play dates. :)

Presley Scared Mommy and Daddy Again

On Thursday morning Steve was getting ready for work (at 6:30) and the kids woke up so he was getting them a snack so I could rest a few more minutes. Presley laid on the floor near the kitchen whimpering and holding his tummy. Steve picked him up and noticed his face was very pale and his lips were purple. I flew out of bed to see what was the matter. I had flashbacks to when he was 9 months old. He did the same thing... that time they diagnosed it as kiotic hypoglycemia (sp). We jumped in the car without thinking and rushed to the hospital. Steve grabbed some pedialyte as we left and Pres drank it on the way. His color started coming back into his face. They ran blood and urine tests on him. (He even went pee in the cup like a big boy!!) The tests showed ketones in his urine just like last time. The frustrated part is no one knows why this is happening. Ketones in your urine which means your body is starving and it is using up the good fats. The last time this happened he wasn't feeling real well the day before so he didn't eat very much, but this time he had a really big dinner the night before, so that wasn't the case. Today I took him to a new pediatrician for a follow up appointment, she still wasn't sure why this was happening. She ordered an EKG and an EEG to monitor his heart and his brain. He did the EKG today and did really good. He didn't even cry ... he was so brave! We don't know the results yet. The doctor also referred his case to a endocrinologist to see if he has any input on what is going on with our little guy. When I get the results or know more I will keep everyone updated. Thank you for every ones thoughts and prayers!

Enjoying Summer Vacation with My Kids!!!

I have had one full week of summer vacation with my kids so far. I could get us to this. I love spending time with them. Zoe says the funniest things. Presley is silly too. His new thing is licking, so watch out. They make me laugh everyday. We got a library card so we have been taking advantage of that. We have already been to the library 3 times in a week. We have also been to the park a few times. Today we had a picnic at the park with Grandma Betsy. I am looking forward to many more fun day with my kiddos this summer.

Going for a ride in daddy's purple car... I mean hot rod!

Going for a walk at the lake... we had to stop to feed the duckies!

Daddy stopping by in his big truck to say "Hi"!

Having fun at the park!!

Zoe even learned to ride on her new big girl bike!

Zoe went fishing with her daddy for the first time.
She had fun even though she didn't catch anything.

The Strawberry Eaters

Our crop of strawberries were just starting to turn red and juicy. The kids spotted them (with help from Grandpa) and started eating them and eating them and eating them... Presley even ate the green ones. So now our strawberry plants are bare. Silly Kids! It was cute though.

Our Baby is Two!

Presley is two. (I can't believe it!) He had a fun birthday with lots of great family and friends to help him celebrate. He wasn't sure about the birthday song. He got really shy. He liked opening presents a lot. It was cute watching him. He got a motorcycle (Dad was jealous), a tricycle, a sandbox, clothes, books, cars, and more...

Thank you to everyone who help celebrate our little boys 2nd birthday!
